Bernadette Leilani Brennecke-Petropoulos and her family moved from Honolulu, Hawaii to southern California during 1960, and settled in the east San Gabriel Valley. It took a while to enculturate herself in a faster paced lifestyle, marked by the extreme variety of ethnicities and the natural wonders of the nearby mountains and deserts. She graduated from El Monte High School in 1963, and went immediately into college at Cal Poly, Pomona, where she was a member of the first women's class. In 1967, she graduated with a BS degree in Social Work, and in 1969 she achieved a master's in social work (MSW), from California State University, San Diego. She took about ten years away from her pursuit of a career in Social Work, to have and raise two children, and a couple of stepchildren.
Her career in Social Work included Interning at an Adoption Agency, as an LA County Parole Officer, and Medical Social Worker in a Hospital Emergency Room & ICU. She earned her Clinical License in Social Work in the mid-eighties, and worked at a Group Clinic in Pomona, where she regularly had clients at Charter Psychiatric Hospital in Covina. In late 1989 she began providing a multiple day, intensive Personal Growth workshop for adults, known as: LightQuest. She received her training for this by staffing a similar workshop in the Claremont area. She opened her own Outpatient Clinic in 1993, known as: LifeQuest Counseling in Pomona, and continued as the Head Trainer of LightQuest Workshop.
COVID-19 forced Bernadette to close her Clinical Practice and stop providing the LightQuest Workshop. She continues to have a busy telehealth Clinical practice and will have the inaugural reopening of the LightQuest Workshop in the Fall of 2023.

Greg was born and raised in the East San Gaberiel Valley community of Covina where he spent his entire childhood. He was a gifted natural athlete that develped a passion for sports, and the necessary discipline that earned him increasing recognition from local kid's teams through participation at the Intercollegiate level.
He graduated with an associate degree from Mt. San Antonio College then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado. while there he became one of the founding members of a national Fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha. In 1978, he graduated with a bachelor's in social work. Greg then began a 15-year journey in the business world that had a more promising financial future. He began as a Shipping Clerk that led him to seek ever more increasing levels of responsibility that culminated filling the role of a multi-State Regional Sales Manager of products in telecommunication, and finally in the Industrial Division of the then young company that invented the household product: Simple Green.
In the late 80's, at a social & business networking event, he had the good fortune to have met Bernadette L. Brennecke, LCSW, who would soon become his Wife and business partner. with her encouragement and support, he returned to school and earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from Ryokan College of Los Angeles, and then began the path of Interning and passing the State exams becoming a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in 2001. Bernadette had a dream of creating her own multi-day personal growth workshop and found in Greg the people skills and temperament that would complement her. in late 1989, LightQuest Workshops was christened with working exclusively with Adolescents. Three years later they conducted their first adult LightQuest Workshop and have averaged 4-5 workshops per year since then.
A few years after earning his LMFT, he had a desire to be of therapeutic Service to those who risk their lives for our freedoms and liberty. He voluntarily joined and earned a commission as an Officer of the California State Military Reserve. within a year he resigned to pursue a more immersive military role by accepting a position as a civilian contractor and therapist, working from six-weeks to six-months at various US Army installations within the US and Europe, in the role of: Military Family Life Counselor. In between the military assignments, he continued to do the LightQuest Workshops. The military contract dissolved around 2016 which made room for full-time focus on his private practice and the LightQuest Workshops.
In 2013, he discovered a new hobby, long distance hiking/walking. After watching a film called, "The Way", he traveled to Spain and completed his first 500-mile hike of the famous and ancient pilgrimage trail known as: "Camino de Santiago". Since this first hike, he returns every year to walk some of the other "Camino de Santiago" trails.
In early March 2020, he and Bernadette chose to close their Pomona Clinic to practice therapy remotely from home. The concern over COVID-19 forced them to stop providing the LightQuest Workshop. In October 2023, they conducted their first LightQuest Workshop in 31/2 years. He and Bernadette will continue to teach the LightQuest Workshop if their physical, mental, and emotional selves will permit.
